Find PD for the standard you teach

Workshops and materials by NGSS standard

Every Circle of Illumination workshop, webinar and activity packet is built for specific Next Generation Science Standards in weather and climate. Start with the standard you’re responsible for and find the professional development and classroom materials that address it.

3rd grade

3-ESS2-1: Represent weather data in tables and graphs

Represent data in tables and graphical displays to describe typical weather conditions expected during a particular season.

Middle school

MS-ESS2-6: Unequal heating, circulation and regional climates

Develop and use a model to describe how unequal heating and rotation of the Earth cause patterns of atmospheric and oceanic circulation that determine regional climates.

Minnesota’s and Michigan’s academic science standards in weather and climate are built on the Next Generation Science Standards. If your district uses a different framework, get in touch and Dr. Lilienfeld will map a workshop to it.

Don't see your standard?

Dr. Lilienfeld builds workshops around the standards your teachers are accountable for. Tell her which ones and she'll propose a session.
